A Festschrift for Dr. James G. “Jerry” Hunt was held October 11 through October 12, 2007, to honor the work of Dr. Hunt. The Festschrift was fully planned and hosted by the Institute for Leadership Research.
What is a Festschrift?
A Festschrift is a German word which means “A celebration of one’s writing”. Festschrifts are given in honor of a scholar’s lifetime work and achievements. A Festschrift honoring Dr. James G. (Jerry) Hunt was held at Texas Tech University from October 11-12, 2007, and was presented by the Institute for Leadership Research. The Festschrift was held in Dr. Hunt’s honor, to celebrate his writing and career contributions to Leadership Research.
Festschrift Activities
The Festschrift offered numerous academic and social opportunities for attendees. Activities included paper presentations, break-out and interactive sessions, a welcome address by Texas Tech University Chancellor Kent Hance, and a keynote address from Dr. Jane Smith, Spelman College.
